The St. Louis Cardinals have made Three recent moves and all three have worked out to perfection so far in the early stages.
Mark DeRosa is everything you can ask for in a ballplayer. DeRosa can play almost every position on the field. He's a solid hitter for average hitter and excellent power source. DeRosa has already hit seven homers since Joining St. Louis and twenty on the season. And He's already being praised for his leadership in the clubhouse.
If the DeRosa trade was a home run than the Matt Holliday move has been a grand slam so far.
Holliday is hitting a whopping .541 since putting on a Redbird uniform and has already homered three times and knocked in ten runs. Forget what he did in Oakland, since coming over he looks like the MVP candidate that he was in Colorado.
The move to acquire infielder Julio Lugo was the least celebrated of the deals but has also been very effective. Lugo is hitting .342 for the Cards and has also shown some power.
I know it's early, but these moves have a lot of Cardinal fans smiling these days.
