Ok, you want to talk about some sports, here are some of my general thoughts.
The Rams payed a lot for Sam Bradford, and this guy is living up to the hype.
As long as he stays healthy, Bradford has the potential to be a good one for many years to come.
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel continues to do a good job winning games despite his teams problems off the field.
Sikeston and Cape Central could both be unbeaten when they meet on Thursday October 22nd. How many of us would have guessed this before the season started?
The SEMO football team will go for four in a row Saturday at Eastern Illinois. How many of us would have guessed this before the season started?
Should be another big weekend, see you on Heartland Football Friday.

Huge game for SEMO football team
The Southeast Missouri State football team has a great opportunity this Saturday against Tennessee Tech.
The Redhawks are coming off one of their biggest wins in school history when they beat 5th ranked SIU Saturday 24-21 in Carbondale.
With that win Southeast improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
If you factor in the magnitude of that victory coupled with this being the home opener and family weekend at Houck stadium a big crowd should be on hand.
In fact, I have heard people talk about going to the game that haven't attended a SEMO football game in years.
This will be a great chance for the Redhawks to showcase their team to the community!
It will be very interesting to see if Southeast will make the most of this opportunity.
If for some reason you can't make it person check out our webcast on kfvs12.com.

All Eyes will be on Houck Stadium Friday Night
The atmosphere should be quite different Friday night when the Jackson Indians football team plays Cape Central.
When I started at KFVS some six years ago, Jackson was in complete control of the series.
In fact, the Indians have won every game since I've been here, most of the time by lopsided margins.
But this year appears to be a different story, the Tigers are 3-and-0 and Jackson is 2-and-1.
To truly appreciate these numbers, Cape Central had only won one game in the past two years.
Rich Payne has the players believing and WINNING.
Having said all this, I would expect Van Hitt and the Indians to bring their "A" game to Houck Stadium Friday night.
And like any rivalry game, you just never know how the emotions will play out on the field.
Payne talks about experience being a key factor in the Tigers turnaround.
Hitt talks about his team looking to make progress.
Come Friday night, we'll see how both of these factors play out.
Hope you can make it out, if not we'll webcast the game live on kfvs12.com.

Great time of year
My headline simply reads Great time of year, because this may be the best time of year for a sports fan.
I know the NCAA Basketball tournament is great and the Super Bowl is just that Super!
I could go on and on but lets talk about now.
The high school football season is well underway, the college football season is just getting rolling and the NFL will kick off in full force this weekend.
I haven't even mentioned the baseball playoff races. You throw in the feeling of fall and it's off the charts.
Hope your enjoying it as much as me.
See you Friday night on Heartland Football Friday!
