Great Time for Sports Fans

I'm not sure if there's actually a bad time of year for sports fans but the start of April is a lot of fun.
It all tips off with the final four Saturday in Indianapolis. How about those Butler Bulldogs--just a win over Michigan State away from playing for a national title in front of their home town fans.
The Cardinals will throw out the first pitch on their season Monday at Cincinnati.
St. Louis appears to be loaded offensively and defensively. Like any team, the key will be keeping the pitching staff healthy and of course that guy named Pujols.
The Cubs were picked by many to win the division last year but injuries and inconsistent play did them in. We'll see how they do flying under the radar in 2010.
How about those Rams? It sure looks like Oklahoma Quarterback Sam Bradford will be their top pick in the NFL draft. If not Bradford, I think it's a safe bet St. Louis will make a move for another Quarterback.
Hey, I talked to Scott City native and former Kansas State All-American Track and Field athlete Loren Groves today. Loren will compete in the Hammer Throw Friday at the Joey Haines Invitational at SEMO.
See you next time.
